On Friday afternoon we brought together our 2025 B-HUGs Hosts and Research Interns for our first B-HUGs event of the year. Along with the inspirational young people and dedicated research interns who work alongside us, passionate and committed hosts are at the B-HUGs core and we have come away from the workshop excited for 2025.

One of our activities involved responding individually to the prompt “what do you bring to B-HUGs” and then workshopping this collaboratively into themes. We wanted to share some snippets of the submissions here to see what to expect from our hosts in 2025:

(1) Hosts committed to bringing their: dedication, commitment, enthusiasm, positivity, curiosity, competence, creativity, innovation and compassion

(2) Hosts committed to curating: fun, a positive environment, a safe space, a passion for change, confidence, being welcoming and approachable, connection, caring for the future, relatability, support, conversation, a sense of community and open discussion

(3) Hosts committed to sharing: careers insight, networks, stories, culture, heritage, lived experience, language, games, knowledge, subject expertise, opportunities and skills

And so much more.
